In response to The Daily Post’s writing prompt: “ROY G. BIV.”

ROY G. BIV is an acronym to Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo, and Violet. In Indonesia, it is also known as Mejikuhibiniu (Merah, Jingga, Kuning, Hijau, Biru, Nila, Ungu).

I took a picture of my books which could represent those colors. What do you think about it?

These are what Indonesian call as manisan kolang-kaling. Made from processed Arenga pinnata endosperms, which then cooked in syrup. The red ones are strawberry flavored, while the yellow ones are kaya flavored. They are sweet and chewy, and best served cold.
